Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you email us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services keep ordinary logs such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to operate the service and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the limited data to run the service, correct problems, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual visitors.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy rules of those services govern information you provide after leaving this service. That includes sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
Providers that host and support the service process logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the technical data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection and keeps logs only for as long as the stated purposes require. Because there are no user accounts, the service does not hold a visitor password or profile that could be exposed.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data that a service holds about you. Ohio's Data Protection Act, ORC Chapter 1354, is a cybersecurity affirmative-defense law rather than a general consumer deletion statute. Because we hold very little, requests are usually narrow: we check the contact mailbox and server logs and remove applicable information. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Ohio, Montgomery County, or Centerville offices are outside our control; direct removal requests for those records to their custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Changes to this policy will be posted here. Continued use after a posted change means that you accept the updated policy.
